About Karunya University

Karunya University started its journey as an affiliate college in 1986. It was established with a view point to provide excellent education in the field of engineering and to prepare highly committed professionals. It was given an elite position of a university in 2004 by Indian government under University Grant Commission. Today it is a renowned university, accredited “A” grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Karunya University is situated near Coimbatore. There are nearly 6300 students studying under this university today. Karunya University is famous for its quality education and amiable environment on the campus. That is the reason why these thousands of students not only from all over the India but from all over the world have gone there to study and research. It has been 23 years from when university is providing quality education to the students. Now it has decided to serve youth from economically backward positions as well. It has also started a project of building 2000 rooms for the students coming from other places as a hostel.

Karunya University has prepared thousands of professionals for the service of nation. These all has been possible due the excellent teaching atmosphere on the campus. The faculties at Karunya are highly knowledgeable and experienced. They are always ready to help the students to satisfy their quest for knowledge.

The university provides undergraduate as well as post graduate programs. It also provides research facility for the candidates willing to get doctorates. It provides B.Tech. Degrees in the specializations like Aero Space Engineering, Bio-Technology, Bio-Informatics, Chemical and Food Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering etc. It also has post graduate courses in the same specializations as well as new subjects like Nano-Technology, Water Recourses Management, Food Processing etc. The college is specialized in providing engineering education but it also provides courses in management and sciences. It provides the degrees of MBA, MCA, MA and M.Sc.

For its quality education, university has won many awards and recognitions also. It has come in top 10 engineering universities by Outlook magazine, Times of India, Business India magazine etc.

The university has a wide campus of 700+ acres. The whole campus is a Wi-Fi zone and the infrastructure is one of the best in the nation. It provides all the necessary facilities for the students and researchers. It has a world class library which is regularly updated with latest editions of books, journals, magazines and industry newsletters. It has highly developed and equipped laboratories with high tech machineries. It helps the students pursuing science studies and engineering to understand the entire concept well and practically. Due to this infrastructure and practical knowledge facilities, today India has got many great engineers and scientists from Karunya University.
